Memphis Area Mountain Dulcimer Players:

Our next meeting will be Sunday, June 4, 2006 from 3 – 5 PM at Carla’s house.
Some of the songs you suggested from our May club meeting were:

    Greensleeves (What Child is This?)
    Round
    Aragon Mill
    Waltz Across Texas
    Over the River
    Wildwood Flower
    Square Creek Tune
    What Will I Leave Behind

Jae Graves will teach us how to play jigs and will have a couple of tabs for us to try.

I finally got out of the hospital on Friday, May 18.  Due to a
number of complications following surgery it looks like I will have a
long recovery period.  I am not able to play the dulcimer yet, but look
forward to doing so as soon as I have the energy.

Thanks for your concern, thoughts and prayers.  Continue with your prayers for a speedy recovery.

I don’t know if I will be able to attend this club meeting; it all
depends on my energy level at that time.  However, I truly hope you
will be there!

Bob has been in the hospital since May 8th.  He is recovering from
his surgery.  Linda has requested no visits to the hospital or
calls at this time.  She is passing on information about Bob
through our club e-mail list.

5/19/06 update:

Bob is home from the hospital now.  Please call before visiting
him to make sure he feels well enough for company.  He and Linda
thank you for your prayers and concerns.

6/10/06 Update

Bob returned to the hospital for a week due to fluid in his lungs.  He is doing better at home now.

I spoke to him today, and he said that today he enjoyed playing his
dulcimer.  He said he had made the right decision to cancel his
Cullowhee trip, because his recovery is going to take some time.  He
appreciates everyone’s cards, thoughts, prayers and calls.
