Another iMovie for the Band

I’m excited about leaving tomorrow to journey forward in life.  Looking at what has occurred earlier in my life is enabling me to do this….to set out on my own to face some things known along with a lot of the unknown, and I am thankful for my experiences that have brought me to this point in my life.

This iMovie, that I am happy to blog about and share, is the last one I will publish before my trip.  It is a movie I created with the help of my daughter and her friend and a LOT of pictures donated by parents, teachers and members of the high school band.
I hope you enjoy the iMovie.

Adrian Kosky, Singer/Songwriter, Working on an Original Tune

This is another iMovie I made from Susana Travieso’s collection of documentary videos filmed in the Delta during the summer of 2007.  At the request of Adrian Kosky and Susana, I have selected a portion of their work for sharing on the internet.  This video shows Adrian working on a tune with John Pappajohn, The Baltimore Bluesman, who met earlier in the day during their broadcast on the King Biscuit Radio Show in Helena, Arkansas.

This is part of a documentary project that sprouted when Adrian Kosky traveled from Australia to Clarksdale, Mississippi, to participate in Chandler Griffin’s Barefoot Workshops for documentary filmmakers.  While in Clarksdale, Adrian met Susana, who teamed up with Treyton Williams during a workshop, to produce a documentary about Adrian’s journey to the Delta to write and sing about the Delta Blues.

Dulcimer Playin’ & Documentary Makin’

Adrian Kosky plays a mountain dulcimer with Professor David Evans in Millington, Tennessee, 2007.  This video is an iMovie I made at the request of videographer, Susana Travieso, and singer/songwriter, Adrian Kosky, by selecting a clip from a collection of tapes from a documentary project which sprouted from Chandler Griffin’s Barefoot Workshops for documentary filmmakers.

[Still going through files on my computer to publish and/or republish some things that have suffered computer glitches or internet witches…or whatever.]

Laughing at Myself Again

It’s late and I’m going to bed now, hoping to sleep tonight.  I have had some trouble sleeping lately, as my mind will not give up its relentless reflecting of what has been.  I’m soooooooooo wanting to be the Roo…..you know…like a kangaroo….only going forward in life, but here’s a video I made a few months ago as I was trying to pull myself up from a low and sad state of being.

An iMovie Learning Experience

As I’m browsing through files on my computer, I’m letting all the random ideas and memories begin to align themselves.  This is getting me excited, because after a few years of being held back, set back, wanting to experience the outback,….or whatever….my thoughts are beginning to align themselves with each good project I remember having completed.

I have shared this project on one of my blogs in the past, but alas….it is gone with the virtual wind, after not being able to pay for domain name renewal recently.  I am soooooooooo glad that I still have the computer file, though, because it makes me happy to be able to re-share this fun adventure.

Here’s an iMovie I made during the 2005-2006 school year.  [If my use of their music overly offends any of these artists in the songs included in my project, I hope they will contact me, personally; because I would like to listen to their point of view about inspiring others.  It is not my intention to hurt anyone by adding fantastic music to homemade movies…and, with that disclaimer blatantly blogged up…] I hope folks enjoy this:
[published and then revised immediately to add the following content….had to publish to see if the movie uploaded correctly]
I forgot to mention that the music at the beginning of the movie is from a recording I made in the audience while the students were performing in their high school auditorium.  I don’t remember anything about who composed the music or what the name of the piece is….but I think the students sound great playing it!
The caption at the end of the movie will explain the rest of the content.
[and…as I fumble around in my teach-my-self/sink-or-swim world of internetting and blogging….I STILL cannot figure out how to get my quicktime movies to show a picture with the play button….I reckon I could use some help….in all kinds of ways!]

Brainstorming and Reflecting

Here’s an iMovie I made in September 2005.  [If my use of their music overly offends any of these artists in the songs included in my project, I hope they will contact me, personally; because I would like to listen to their point of view about inspiring others.  It is not my intention to hurt anyone by adding fantastic music to homemade movies…and, with that disclaimer blatantly blogged up, I now hope folks enjoy this:
